Long, Long Ago

Mungkin ramai yang beranggapan bahawan Cendawan Susu Rimau ini baru sahaja ditemui dan masih lagi baru. Tetapi tahukah anda, penggunaan CSR telah bermula lebih 400 tahun yang lalu? Penulisan mengenai CSR boleh ditemui dalam "Diary of John Everlyn","On The So-Called Tiger's Milk "Susu Rimau" Of The Malays" yang ditulis H.N. Ridley diterbitkan oleh Journal of the Straits Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society, Disember 1890 dan "China, Healing and the West to 1848".

..while staying recently at Pekan I procured, trough the kindness of Mr.Rodger, a fine specimen of the remarkable vegetable production, known to the Malays here as "Susu Rimau". China, Healing and the West to 1848.

Diary of John Everlyn.

Diary of John Everlyn.
Maybe a lot of people think that Tiger Milk Mushroom is a new thing that has just been found, discovered in our Malaysian tropical rain forest. But the thing is, it's been around and used by the natives; Orang Asli, Chinese and Malays for ages, dated back to as early as 1664 in The Diary of John Everlyn. TMM has also been mentioned in an old article - "China, Healing and the West to 1848" and also in a journal publication - "On The So-Called Tiger's Milk "Susu Rimau" Of The Malays" (H.N.Ridley) which was published in Journal of the Straits Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society.
